Rosanna Combs (Andersen) (1959)

We enter the MTC Sept 1.  I expected to be at this event, but our children planned a  pre mission reunion on the WA coast for the same week and it was not possible to get back to Montpelier.  Please share your experiences  with me.  Hugs all!

David, Sorry you could not be with us at the reunion, and sorry for the situation you are in right now.  Just a thought--many were taking pictures at the reunion, and we need to send them to the website--is there a place for just reunion pictures?   Hope things are on the mend at your home.  Rich Anthony

A big thank you to the many people who worked many hours to put this reunion on for all of us. It was great to see all of those who attended and to share stories with classmates we had not seen for years. I truly enjoyed all of the well planned events, programs and get togethers.  Getting to see and hear from some of our former teachers was an honor and the tributes to those who are no longer with us were special. Again, thank you to all who made this event possible. Well done!!

Barbara Swensen (Baer) (1942)

Sorry that  I was not abale to attend the reunion, but my sister Dorthea Swensen Kendall with her daughter Ellen, attended and enjoyed it very much.   I recently celebrated my 90th birthday.  I still am active and able to take care of daily responsibiities.  In the past my husband and I  enjoyed travelling to foreign countries, but we are limiting ourselves to the local sights and entertainments. We lived for many years in the East and Midwest, but retired to Utah about 20 years ago. We enjoy fairly good health and are happy here in the mountains.

I want to thank all of you for all the work you put I to the reunion and the web site.  I really enjoyed reading all the info on the web site, it brought back a lot of memories.  It was fun to read about old school mates, teachers learning what they have accomplished. I was ill enough on Friday that I did not get to attend and was very disappointed.

Thanks again.

Many thanks to the committee who worked so hard to put this great celebration together.  It was so well planned and enjoyable.  This once in a lifetime event  gave us a chance to reflect on those who influenced us and gave us such a great foundation upon which we built our lives.  Lynn, we didn't get to meet you but you played such a great part in the tremendous job of tracking all of us down.  David many thank for the great web sight and so sorry you couldn't get there.  "We Made A Difference"  Karren Winters and Ron Ashley

We were very sorry that David missed the reunion.  We would have loved to thank him in person for all the work he put in.  It was a fabulous weekend.  So many old friends were there that we haven't seen for so long.  It was very well done and we attended all the venues. It was a terrific weekend and want to thank everyone involved in making ti so special.  Kent  (Ozzie) and Marilynn (Mark) Perkins

Mary Eileen Dunn (Lewis) (1946)

What a wonderful, well planned and executed time you provided for all of us.  Thank you so vey much.  While apparently only two from the class of 1946 (and we are second cousins) attended, I became acquainted with so many more later alums.  What a great group of people!  I especially appreciated the "movie" so well put together by (I believe) Max Lauritsen and his family.  It brought back many memories.  Thanks to you ALL!

I also want to express a big thank you to Ross and Mary Kay Peterson and the members of their committee for organizing and implementing the events last weekend.  You all seemed to pull this off with ease – that is what it seemed like to us.   I am sure there were times when you wondered if it was worth all the effort and work.   But thanks for hanging in and getting it done.  I heard lots of stories, renewed many old friendships, listened to wonderful tributes to some great teachers, and learned a little insight into their lives.   And yes, they did make a difference in many students’ lives.    You could not ask for much more than that on this weekend.   The video about Montpelier @ the theater was also a highlight.    Thanks so much for all your work and dedication,

Roger Kunz - Class of '62

Barbara Aland (Neeley) (1960)

Big kudos to Ross and Mary Kay Peterson for the tremendous effort that  they put forth to pull of this reunion.  It brought back so many memories to, I am sure, all of us.  Also, thanks to Richard Anthony and his wife, Brenda, for the assembly on Friday night.  What a fun memory of the auditorium and how it was so much a part of our lives.  Lynn, David and the rest of the committee, thanks to all of your for all of your efforts, blood, sweat and tears to make this such a momentous occasion.  As my husband, Brent Neeley, said.  " I made so many new friends that I forgot about."  Again, great job.    Brent and Barbara Aland Neeley

I wanted to attend so badly but couldn't for health reasons.  Thanks to all those who have posted responses and updated information about their lives.  So many of my classmates have passed on - I wonder how many of them were able to attend?  Eva Kunz Berry - class of 1956

To Marilyn Hansen:  It is good to hear from you.  It was truly wonderful.  I hope we can have this type of reunion again soon.  Health gets bad after 70 for a lot of us.  Carry on.

Thanks to the website producers and of course everyone else.  Many people worked very hard and were successful.

What an astonishing weekend we enjoyed together!  Profound thanks go to Ross and Mary Kay, Lynne and David (so sorry about the flood) and so many on the committee for the incredible amount of time it took to make this happen. Not only did we have a chance to reconnect with so many wonderful friends, but this wonderful event helped us all realize how blessed we were to have such a remarkable collection of outstanding teachers and administrators who have influenced our lives for good!  Thanks to all who contributed to the displays in the gym and throughout the town, the trolley, the giant task of preparing all that delicious food, the creation of the delgithful movie and the production of the fun melodrama. This website is invaluable as we continue to reminisce and reconnect!  Thanks for your dream Ross!

The sesquicentennial was incredible, and I had such a great time reacquainting with classmates of Montpelier High School.  As others have already said, many cudos and thanks for all the work done for all of us;  Ross and Mary Kay, Lynn, David and the others that had a "hand" in the most successful event like this I have attended in a long, long time.  It was so neat to see not only my friends/classmates, but those of both my sisters who were unable to attend.  Thanks, again, and here's to another!!!!
