Marilyn Hansen (Hatch) - Class of 1956

Marilyn Hansen Hatch, 83, from Pleasant View, Utah, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. She was born February 28, 1938 in Liberty, Idaho, to Hans and Deane Austin Hansen. She was raised in Montpelier, Idaho, and graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1956. After graduating, she attended Brigham Young University.

During the summer she worked at Jackson Lake Lodge, where she met Merlin Hatch. They were married in the Logan Utah Temple on June 6, 1958. They eventually settled in Pleasant View, Utah where they raised four children. Marilyn worked many years for the Ogden City School District at the Millcreek Youth Center.

Marilyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including many years as a Young Women’s Leader, a Relief Society Teacher and in the Primary. She and Merlin served in the Ogden Utah Temple and served a mission at Adam-Ondi-Ahman.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Lance (Lilli) Hatch, Courtney (Laura) Hatch, Christina Noland, and Heather (Fritz) Froerer; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin on September 18, 2021.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
