After graduating from MHS I attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake. Then I worked as secretary for a Governmen job. Then I returned to Montpelier and worked as Mr. Winters Secretary at MHS during the war years. When the war ended I married MY SOLDIER who had served in the army in the South Pacific and Japan.
After marriage we lived in Green River, Wyoming, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Washington, Spokane, Washington, then returned to Seattle for retirement.
I served as Office Manager at the Seattle Temple for 12 years, followed by 10 years as an ordinance worker. My husband passed away three years ago. We have 14 grandchildren and 27 great grand children. I have been blessed with good health and happiness. I still love Montpelier and often think of my friends there. Glad to hear from any and all of you.

School Story

Whenever I hear the whistle of a TRAIN, I think of Montpelier. I treasure the memories of my dear friends -- class of 1940 was very special. Teachers like Wes Baker, Lewis Munk, Miss Lavin, Bernice Parish, Annie Lauridsen (4th grade) Lydia Swensen (3rd grade), Geneva Weaver (lst grade) Harry Reading (all the girls loved him) and so many other dear dear friends.

Thanks to all of you who have worked hard on this reunion. You are special. Please always keep in touch.
