Thelma Stephens (Bishopp) - Class of 1940 VIEW PROFILE

Thelma E. (Stephens) Bishopp, 94, died peacefully at home in Maple Valley on Saturday, March 26, 2016 of natural causes.

She is survived by her 3 children: Stephen and his wife Valerie, Allen and his wife Katy, and daughter Barbara and her husband Gary. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren; and her older sister, Lucille.

Thelma was born and raised in Montpelier, Idaho. She attended LDS Business College and worked as a secretary at her local high school.

Thelma married her husband Weller in December, 1945 and eventually settled in the Seattle area in 1962; moving to Maple Valley in 2002 where they lived together until Weller's passing in 2010.

She was active in volunteer work with her church all of her life. Outside the home she worked at Sears, the Boeing Company, and the Seattle Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, until she retired in 1991. More than anything, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was a great example of commitment to family.
