Calvert Lewis - Class of 1931 VIEW PROFILE

Calvert Thomas Lewis, 93, passed away March 18, 2006 at the Bear Lake Skilled Nursing Facility.  He was born May 12, 1912 in Wardboro, Idaho to Thomas George Lewis and Calla Irene Booth.  He married Agnes Ruth King June 18, 1935 in the Logan LDS Temple.  To this union was born six children.  His wife died December 6, 1969 and he married Agnes Marie Pope July 20, 1973 in the Logan LDS Temple and to this union was born an infant daughter.  Calvert was a lifelong resident of the Bear Lake Valley, spending the majority of his time in Dingle, Idaho.  He moved to Montpelier in later life.  He spent most of his time as a plumber working with Tri-State Inc. servicing many of the homes in the valley.  Although plumbing provided a livelihood farming was his passion.  He was an active member of the LDS Church and dedicated his lifetime to service.  He served in the Dingle Ward bishopric for 19 years under three different bishops.  He was involved in the building of the Dingle Chapel.  He is survived by his wife, Agnes Marie, seven children and 43 grandchildren.  Funeral services were held in the Dingle Ward Chapel.  Burial was in the Dingle Cemetery.
