After high school i atternded BYU for the winter and spring quarters. I then returned home and recived a call to fill a miswsion the the East Central States Mission. Upon retuning home in Dec. 151 I greeted my family and was then handed my greetings from Uncle Sam. My physical came Jan. 6, 52 and was drafted into the USMC Mar. 52. After boot camp I married Waneen Moses. I was now stationd at the USMC Air
Station, Santa Ana, Calif. I was a clerk in the chaplains Corp. and often was required to inform families that father had been kiled in Korea.
I was relesed from service Mar. 54 and was asked to be the water front director at BSA Camp Nebicker. At the end of the camp i moved to Provo with family to atend BYU graduating in 57. I started my teaching at Spanish Fork Jr. High in 57, teaching phyical education and health. While coaching I was asked to be chairman of the BYU invitational track and field meet. we changed the program to suit the needs of Jr. high boys. After 23 years in the jr. high i changed to the middle school teaching Utah history and math. I retired in 1987.
While teaching i also became a roofing contacter and did thia for 45 years. My goal was to teach my sons to work.
In 1987 I was called to serve in the Provo temple as an ordanence worker. I held many posistions while serving, Ass't Shift coordinater, baptistry coordinater, and iniatory coordinater. I served 3 days every week. After 20 years at the temple . I retired to care for my wife for the next 2 years. She passed away in Oct. 2009.
Durring the time I was serving in the temple I was called to be a couseler in the bishopric in our ward.
