Orson Dewey Toomer was the son of Charles Hurbert and Maud Richards Toomer. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1915. He served in the US Army during WWI. He married Alice Angeline Hinckley January 15, 1923 in Salt Lake City. He died September 6, 1981 in Salt Lake City and was buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
