Verda Aland was born July 2, 1904 in Bloomington, Idaho, the daughter of John Albert and Mary Jane Smith Aland. She was a member of the class of 1925, however she did not graduate. She married Collis Romer Smith September 6, 1927 in Soda Springs, Idaho. She died March 27, 1977 in Loma Linda, California
