Michael Kent Sorenson, 34, passed away at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, from heart failure due to complications of Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. He was born January 11, 1975 in Soda Spnngs, to Teresa Alleman Hottel and Kent .E Sorenson. Michael was raised in Georgetown and went to Bear Lake High School, from which he graduated in 1993. After high school he married Norma Eck. They later divorced. He then married Tammy Skinner, and they later divorced, Michael loved the outdoors; he fished and hunted until his MMD would no longer let him walk the mountains. Michael is survived by his mother Teresa (John) Huttel; his father Kent E. Sorenson; one brother Lance (Angel) Sorenson; one sister Kristina (Kim) Dimick; three nieces, Tiffany Jeppsen, Tasha Dimick and Lyssa Sorenson; one nephew, Justin Dimick; grandparents Doyle and Kathryn Alleman; as well as many uncles and aunts. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Madge and Eldon Sorenson. Funeral services were held March 14, at the Georgetown LDS Chapel in Georgetown.
