In Memory

Donald Kim Parker - Class of 1978

Donald K Parker passed away December 31, 2017 at the age of 58. He was born December 4, 1959 to Don Carlos and Roma Nield. He attended school at Bear Lake where he participated in Football and Basketball. DK worked alongside his Grandpa Nield, Father, and Brothers at OK Tire Store. He married Kaylene Williams June 22, 1984. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple for time and all eternity on August 1, 1997. DK was a volunteer for the Montpelier Fire Department for 10 years where he served as Assistant Chief, Temporary Chief, and received Fireman of the Year in 1985. DK and Kaylene were blessed with twin boys; Karl Don and Kyle David on November 11, 1988. Shortly after the twins were born, DK decided to leave the Fire Department to have more time at home and to let the younger guys take over the work at the department. DK worked for the city of Montpelier for seven years where he ran the Grader, his son Karl would ride along side, not knowing he was in training for the job he would have 15 years later. DK left the city and returned to the Tire Store in 1999 after promising his Mom that he would help his Dad at the store. DK was able to work side by side with both of his boys, leaving Kyle to take over as the Tire Specialist.

DK loved spending time with his family camping, snowmobiling, fishing, dirt biking, and cooking good meals either in the dutch oven or on the grill.

DK had a great sense of humor and loved making others smile and laugh. He has left an imprint on our hearts that will never leave.

DK is survived by his bride, Kaylene, sons Kyle, Karl (Tiffany), 4 Grandchildren; Elizabeth, Bryan, Londyn, and Journee, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Don, Roma Parker, Sister Carla Jean, Grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.

On Behalf of the DK Parker family, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the many acts of kindness shown to our family during this difficult time. We appreciate all of the visits, phone calls, texts, and meals that have been brought into our homes. We would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Clay Campbell, the nurses and staff at Bear Lake Memorial, The EMT’s, Chad Walker and the staff at Schwab Matthews Mortuary, and the Montpelier Fire Department
