David T. Bienz - Class of 1978

David Tueller Bienz, age 20, was killed in an automobile accident at Bear Lake June 29, 1980. He was born February 14, 1960 in Montpelier to Ray and LoisTueller Bienz. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1978. He had also attended high school in Flagstaff, Ariz.. and was presently a third-year student in pre-medicine at Idaho State University. Survivors include his parents, Bern: two sisters, Mrs. David (RaeAnn) Chavez. and Nancy Laura, both of Bern; one brother, James, Pocatello; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Bienz, Montpelier, and Mrs. Violet Tueller, Afton, Wyoming. Funeral services were held July 2 at the Bern Ward chapel with Bishop Leland Kunz conducting. The family prayer was given by Rudolph Bienz and the prelude and postlude were played by Carrie Anthony. Two vocal duets, "O My Father" and "Abide With Me" were sung by Pauline Kunz and Teresa Doman. accompanied  by Shirley Harris. "Beautiful Land" was sung by Kathy Kunz and Ruth Kay Andersen, accompanied by Diane Harper. The invocation was given by Ivins Schmid and the eulogy was spoken by James Bienz. Speakers were Dr. N. E. Wolff and Gordon Tueller. The benediction was by Pres. Terry Welch. Interment was in the Bern Cemetery with the dedication of the grave by Bishop Darrel Bienz. Pallbearers were Darrel Bienz, Verlyn Bienz, Wilford Bienz, Steven Bienz. David Chavez and Jeff Becher. Flowers were under the direction of the Bern Ward Relief Society. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Matthews Mortuary.
