Robert Ernest Mcdonald was born January 7, 1899, the son of R.D. and Annie Schmidt Mcdonald. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1917. He served in the US military during WWI. He married Margaret Belvia Padgett July 28, 1923. He died October 20, 1983 in Alameda, California.
