Joanne Findlay (Hansen) - Class of 1975

Joanne Findlay Hansen, 37, died Feb 15, 1995, in her home in Ogden. Joanne was born Aug. 16, 1957, in Montpelier, the daughter of John Nebeker Findlay and Evelyn Ruth Voorhees Findlay, the youngest of seven children. She was raised in Bloomington and attended school in Paris, Bngham City, Anakarko, Ok., and graduated from Bear Lake High School in Montpelier. She was a four year seminary graduate. She worked as a dispatcher for the Bear Lake County Sheriff and for the Utah State Highway Patrol. She married Fred Hansen Nov 5, 1980, in Logan. She is the mother of five children. Javonna, Skye, Aspen, Dawn and Tera. She was a charming daughter, a devoted wife and loving mother and enjoyed the outdoors and her dispatcher duties. She is survived by her husband, Fred Hansen of Ogden, and four children, Skye, Aspen, Dawn and Tera. She was joined in death by her daughter, Javonna. She is also survived by her parents, of Bloomington; sisters, Linda Rammell of Farmington, Ut., Janice Woods of West Jordan, Ut., Diane Perry of Declo; brothers, Bob Findlay of Denver, Co., Tom Findlay of Hyde Park, Ut., Reed Findlay of Smithfield, Ut.; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday at 11 30 a.m. in the Nelson Funeral Home Chapel in Logan. Bunal was in the Providence City Cemetery.
