Douglas Crane - Class of 1974

Douglas Robert Crane, 51, passed away at his home in Montpelier, Idaho on Apnl 12, 2008. He was born on May 14, 1956 in Mountain Home, Idaho to Robert and Verdene Roberts Crane. Doug was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. He graduated from Bear Lake High School and attended Ricks College. He worked in the gold mines in Ely, Nevada and Snowville, Utah. Doug married Ramona Stone and they later divorced. He moved back to Bear Lake and delivered mail from Montpelier to Garden City. He also worked in the evenings as a custodian at Bear Lake High School. Doug loved to fish and to spend time in the mountains around Bear Lake. He loved the Gospel, and also enjoyed spending time with family and fnends. He loved his family very much and is survived by four children, Timothy (Heidi) Crane of Lewisville, Idaho, Kenney Crane of Boise, Audra (Steve) Ascona of Montpelier and Sheldon Crane of Chester, Idaho; six beloved grandchildren; his mother, Verdene (Bob) Ringel of Rigby and four siblings, Jackie (Curt) Stucki of Moreland, Idaho, Kennon (Cheri) Crane of Bennington, Arvilla (Chad) Nelson of Chubbuck and Jeff (Dannyel) Crane of Riverside, Idaho, as well as several step-sisters and step brothers. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. Crane and stepfather, Vernon N. Wells. Funeral services will be held in the Bennington Chapel.
