John Briggs - Class of 1973

John J.B. "Rooster" Briggs, 55 years of age, of Salmon, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at his home. He was born on March 18, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio the oldest of three children, born to Glenn and Bonnie (Hewitt) Briggs. He attended school in Tucson, Ariz and Montpelier, where he graduated from Bear Lake High School. He also attended Idaho State University in Pocatello for two years. J.B. enjoyed spending time with his friends and loved to spoil his daughter Jetta Lee Briggs. Rooster spent a lot of time playing horse shoes and camping in Idaho. He attended the Vietnam Annual held every fall with his lifetime friends. J.B. had a great love of music and guitar playing with his family and friends of Salmon. J.B. i.e. Rooster will be missed forever by his family and friends for many reasons, but for most of all his huge heart and willingness to help whomever needed it. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Briggs, of Chubbuck; three children: Amber and Loran Erickson of Auburn, Wyo., Jesse Briggs of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jetta Lee Bnggs of Salmon; two grandsons, Skyler Erickson and Colten Briggs of Auburn, Wyo.
