In Memory

Ronald Stock - Class of 1962

Ronald Wells Stock of Layton, Utah passed away peacefully in his home on the afternoon of October 26, 2018 after a 10 year battle with stage 4 cancer.  He was surrounded by his family who loved him dearly.

Ronald (Ron) was born on December 15, 1943 to Wells C. and Lois June Stock, of Montpelier, Idaho.  He graduated from Montpelier High School where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Pamela Ivie.  They were married in 1962 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.  They had three beautiful daughters, Shellie, Tammie, and JoHannah.  They were the light of his life.

Ronald was a successful logistical director for Kennecott Copper and GSL, before starting up his own company in the medical industry, repairing and selling medical equipment.

He loved his family, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, tinkering with his cars, ice cold cokes and his dogs.  His family describes him as kind, fun, giving, loyal, patient, peace maker, calm, full of unconditional love, and a perfect family man.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Shellie Pauline, and sister, Janet Grant.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pam, daughters, Tammie (Dave) Hess and JoHannah Bright, six grandchildren, Hailey, Olivia, Coulson, Mikie, Hannah, Brynle, four great-grandchildren, Grace, Avie, Benson, Kezlee, one more on the way and brother, Stephen Stock.

We want to give a very special thanks to Dr. Agarwal and his team at Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Jan and I remember Ron with fondness.  Jan is actually a cousin.  We pray for strength for the rest of the family.
