Richard Stoddard - Class of 1956

Richard Frank Stoddard, 21. of Georgetown died at 4 p m Saturday en route from the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital to Salt Lake City. He was born October 25, 1937 in Montpelier, the son of Mrs. Lynn Stoddard by a former marriage. He attended grade school at Georgetown and Montpelier High School, as a member of the class of 1956, while health permitted. He had been employed the past two years by Jacobsen Construction Company. He was a member of the LDS Church. Besides his mother and stepfather. he Is survived by three brothers and three sisters: Dale Lynn. William Ray and Donald S Stoddard; and Carol Ann. Nancy Kay and Sheryl Lee Stoddard, all of Georgetown. Services were held at 1 PM Wednesday In the Georgetown LDS ward chapel with Bishop Donald S. Rex presiding and Counselor Don C. Clark conducting. The opening song. "Abide With Me, Tls Eventide." was by the choir; invocation, Lloyd M. Smith; remarks, Counselor Clark; speaker, Newell B. Passey; song. "In the Garden," Madge Sorenson. Jean Johnson and Marian Foss; speaker, President Lewis Munk; song. "Beyond the Sunset," trio, with Judy Johnson giving the musical reading; benediction, Bishop Rex. The prayer at home was offered by Rao B. Dunford. Interment was in the Georgetown cemetery and the grave was dedicated by William Ray Mc-Cammon. Pall bearers were Buck Kessler, Norman Hennings, Harold Black, Paul Knutti, Larry Wilcox and Verlin Freeman. The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
