Earl Barnson - Class of 1951

Earl Chris Barnson was born in Neola, Utah on July 14, 1932, the son of Lamar Chris and Thelma Costello Barnson. He was a member of the class of 1951, however he did not graduate.

He died August 5, l998, St. George, Utah.

Earl was an honorable veteran, having served in the U.S Navy, as a Bosun's Mate on the Destroyer USS Kidd, during the Korean War. He retired from the Operating Engineers Local #3, where he served as a Lubrication Technician and Instructor in the Union Apprenticeship program.Survivors, wife, Joan; children, Leland Dennis (Debria), Ronald D., and John Jed (Debbie) Barnson; Wendy Barnson, and Lisa Stewardson; mother, Mrs. Thelma Costello Barnson Jacobson; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Glenn L. (Mary Jean), and Ray V. (Kathy) Barnson. He along with Joan were loving parents to many wonderful foster children.

Funeral services Tuesday, August 11th, 11 a.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, where friends and family may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and also on Tuesday one hour prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
