Dale Dunn - Class of 1950

Richard Dale Dunn, 61, our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away Saturday, January 8, 1994.

He was born December 14, 1932, in Montpelier, Idaho to Mark Alvin and Lucille Grunig Dunn. He married Dawna Mae Butterfield on April 18, 1952. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He worked for KUTV for 23 years in sales and had been "Salesman of the Year" for six years. He also worked in Idaho Falls as local sales manager for Channel 8 Television and Soda Springs as manager of KBRV Radio. He also owned and operated a restaurant in Soda Springs and had served on the Days of '47 Committee for 12 years.

He was active in the LDS Church, serving on the High Council, as Stake Sunday School president, in the Primary and as a home teacher.

He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, skiing, and snowmobiling. He also loved golf and raising and riding quarterhorses. He loved being with family, friends and those that needed help.

Surviving are his loving wife, Dawna, of Morgan; two sons and one daughter, Richard (and Barbara) Dunn, Hyrum, Utah; Donald (and Sharon) Dunn, Roy, Utah; Janalee (and Gary) Chambers, Hooper, Utah; 10 grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Alvin Dunn, Soda Springs, Idaho; and Betty D. Dunn, Ogden, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant brother, Mark Dunn; and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 12, 1994 at 11 a.m. in the Milton Ward Chapel, 1255 No. Morgan Valley Drive, Morgan with Bishop Jack O'Driscoll officiating.

Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Morgan Tuesday form 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednsday at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Soda Springs, Idaho Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Morgan North Stake Missionary Fund.
