In Memory

Lois Schmid (Soper) - Class of 1936

Lois Schmid (Soper) was born in 1919, the daughter of Charles and Martha Schmid. She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1936. She married Gordon Henry Soper in 1941.

Here is some information concerning Lois, written by her son, Nyle Soper. "After a very long separation of almost 47 earthly years, our mother Lois is finally reunited with our father Gordon, to whom she was sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. She passed away in Sandy, Utah, on Saturday, December 24th, 2016, when her probationary period of more that 98 years came to an end. She entered heaven into the welcoming arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and into the loving presence of her father and mother, her two older and younger sisters, and her many cousins, aunts and uncles, and many, many other extended family members and dear friends who preceded her through the veil into the third estate. Lois will be buried in the Schmid family plot of the Montpelier, Idaho, city cemetery, following a simple graveside committal ceremony, conducted by her grandson, Bishop Steve Nichol, and surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and others of her posterity. We already miss her dearly because she was always a 'Lady.'"

Submitted by her cousin, Richard Schmid, class of 1954.
