Kenny Rhead Thompson, age 62, died on June 8, 2014 in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born on August 20, 1951 in Montpelier, Idaho to Wayne and Leah Thompson. He married Marie Pitchforth on October 28, 1972.

His proudest accomplishment was as a family man. While surrounded by his family he made many memories enjoying the outdoors and sporting events, Go Utes! He was a dedicated worker and an essential part of The Tempest Company for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; children: Justin (Carri), Adam (Erin), Patrick (Brandy), Tamara (Spencer), and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, brother-in-law, and infant children.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 2:30 pm at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be held on Friday, June 13th from 6 – 8 pm at the mortuary and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
