Gwendolyn Aland (Linford) - Class of 1969

Gwendolyn Aland Linford, 48, of Green River, Wyoming, died Wednesday, November 24, 1999, at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. She had been in ill health the past few months.

She was a resident of Green River, Wyoming, for the past 22 years and was a former resident of Montpelier, Idaho. She was born December 13, 1950, in Montpelier, a daughter of Dean and Jennie Aland. She attended schools in Montpelier and graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1969.

She married Darlo Linford in Montpelier on November 20, 1971. Her pursuits included painting, crocheting and working crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her mother of Montpelier; her husband of Green River; one son and daughter-in-law, Sterling and Alissa Linford of Green River; a daughter, Kimberly Linford of Green River; sisters, Linda Swim of Salt Lake City, Utah, Sharlene Sorensen and Monte Jean, both of Sacramento, California; a granddaughter, Cassidy Linford, of Green River; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, NaDean. Funeral services were held December 1, 1999, in the Vase Flaming Gorge Chapel. Brother Kelly VanPatton of the Jehovah’s Witnesses conducted the services. Interment was in the Riverview Cemetery.
