Robert Thompson, 62, died Nov. 25, 1991, in San Jose, California, following a six year battle with cancer. Mr Thompson was born Nov 20, 1929, in Montpelier, to John and Elizabeth Thompson. He attended schools in Montpelier, graduating from Montpelier High School in 1948. Mr. Thompson enlisted in the US Navy in October 1948, and retired in August 1969, and just recently retired from Pace Optical Co., in San Jose. Mr Thompson also had business interests in Hawaii. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Thompson; one son, John Thompson; two daughters, Kathnne Orr and Dianne Thompson; two stepdaughters, Donna Moorhead and Sandra Belleville; and eight grandchildren, all of whom live in San Jose, Ca.; and one sister, Betty Brocket, Idaho Falls. Memorial services were held at the Thompson Estate and interment was in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Francisco, with full Military Honors.
