Darrel Jacobsen - Class of 1942

Darrel Dean Jacobsen was born May 6, 1924 the son of Joseph Cowley and Ethel May Draney Jacobsen.  He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1942.  He worked for the telephone company before entering the Army during WWII.  He served in Europe and returned to Idaho in 1945.  He married Cora Lois Sucher in 1946 in the LDS Idaho Falls Temple. He returned to the military and served in Korea in 1951.  He returned and worked for the phone company for 42 years.  He retired in Texas in 1984.  He was a member of the LDS Church and along with his wife served several missions.  He died November 28, 1992 in Chicago while serving a mission for the LDS Church.  He was buried in the Milo Cemetery in Milo, Idaho.
