Joyce Larue Barnes was born in Montpelier February 14, 1924 the daughter of William Jenkins and Martha Christofferson Barnes.  She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1942. She served in the US Military during WWII.  She married Andrew Charles Schwartz February 16, 1946 in Seattle, Washington.  She died November 24, 2006 in Godfrey, Illinois.
