Jack Lane - Class of 1938

Jack Raymond Lane was born in Pocatello, Idaho January 31, 1918 the son of George Wilbur and Priscilla Holder Lane.  He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1938.  He served in the US Army.

Jack Raymond Lane died September 28, 1980 In Salt Lake City. He was born January.31, 1918 in Pocatello, the son of George Wilbur and Priscilla Holder Lane. Survivors are his wife, Ruby Darlene Fretwell Lane, Salt Lake City; sons, Kenneth R. and.Robert L. Lane, both of Salt Lake City; a step-daughter, Sandy, and step-sons, Brent, Terry, Troy, Chris, Ryan and Jim, all Salt Lake City; brothers, Clarence L. Lane, Salt Lake City and Harold Lane, Montpelier; sisters, June Miller and Lillian Tingey, all Salt Lake City. The funeral was under the direction of Deseret Mortuary and was held October 2 at the Deseret Mortuary Chapel. Pallbearers were Ken Lane, Larry Aagard, Robert Lane, Brent Lane, Mike Young and Lane Martin. Bishop Rocky Catenzaro officiated and Lane Martin offered the family prayer. Rilla Rieger played the prelude and postlude music. Jack Dickson gave the invocation and Harold Lane, the benediction. Speakers were George Lane and Jed Roderick. "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked" was sung by Michael A. Beard. Bp. Catenzaro also gave remarks. Interment was in tbe Salt Lake City Cemetery where Michael Orme dedicated the grave.
