Mr. Thompson was born in Montpelier, September 2, 1918, the son of Alfred and NormaThompson now of Portola, California. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1937. He served in the US Army. Surviving besides parents and widow, Grace M. Thompson of Palo Alto. are three daughters, Mrs. Ferris (Deanna) Hymas of Montpelier, Mrs. Charles (Donna) Wyant of East Palo Alto, California. and Mrs Richard (Gretchen) Humphrey of Redwood City, California; two sisters, Mrs. Rex (Alice) Gilbreath of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Mrs. T. C. (Margaret) MieIr of Menlo Park, California; and five grandchildren.
