Rolan Drue Nelson was born July 31, 1916 the son of Byron and Polly Jane Tubbs Nelson.  He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1935.  He married Mary Hayward June 14, 1939 in Logan, Utah.  He died October 10, 1980 and was buried in Arlington, Virginia.
