Richard Emery Mumford, age 55, died October 22, 1994 in a Murray hospital following a cardiac arrest.

Born October 25, 1938 in Montpelier, Idaho to T. Emery and Catherine Lewis Mumford. Married Shirley Ann Lambson February 25, 1967 in Murray, Utah.He was a building inspector for Riverton City. Member of the LDS Church. Served in the Navy and worked in the construction business for many years. He was a member of the Mountain Man Club and the Buckskin Brigade. He was an avid sportsman. Member of the Midvale F.O.E. Aerie #659.

Survivors: wife, Shirley; daughters, Margo Fickett, Marie Goettsche and Marsha Mumford; son, Duane Johnson; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; mother and stepfather, Catherine and Wendell Stout, Anaheim, Calif.; and brother, David Mumford. Preceded in death by his father.

He'll be missed by those who knew him.

Funeral services Wednesday, 12 noon at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services.

Interment, Riverton City Cemetery.
