Mickey Burton - Class of 1962

LAYTON - Mickey Wyler Burton, 66, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born November 20, 1943 in Montpelier, Idaho the son of Raymond H. and Mae Wyler Burton.

He married Elsie Rose Burton on June 27, 1964 in Montpelier, Idaho.

Mickey served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired as a TSgt. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and the Robin Park LDS Ward.

He loved fishing, camping, motorcycling, leather work, photography, spending time with his family and his two dogs Lady and Gigi.

Surviving are his wife Elsie Rose Burton, one sister, Sondra (Kent) Wood, three children, Debbie Martin, Mike (Sue) Burton, Tammy (James) Stelljes, eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan, Jeremy, Megan, Samantha, Toren, Bailey, Tyler, three great-grandchildren, Mathew, Trinadi, Christian and one to be born in July 2010.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
