Lynn Wigington - Class of 1957

Classmate Gordon Tueller reported on May 21, 2015:

"[Lynn was a] great friend. He lockered right next to me. We were all very saddened when he was electrocuted [while] working for Utah Power and Light."

News Examiner:

Harold Lynn Wigington, 18, son of Lester and Norma Wilcox Wigington of Cokeville was electrocuted on Saturday August 3, 1957 when he came in contact with a charged but non-operating motor at the Columbia-Geneva Steel plant near Provo, Utah.  Born February 25, 1939, Lynn lived in Montpelier until moving to Cokeville in 1956 with his parents.  He attended elementary school  and three years of high school in Montpelier.  He was a popular student, an outstanding athlete and an active church worker.  At Cokeville High School he was president of the senior class, took part in the class play, was a member of the mixed chorus and was president of the Montpelier Stake Junior M Men of MIA.  Continuing in football at Cokeville he gained an all-state berth following the Wyoming state championship six-man football game.  He planned on entering BYU this fall and tried out for the football squad.  He is survived by his parents along with three brothers and one sister.  Services were held in the Cokeville Ward Chapel.  Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
