Roy Bruce Root was born July 9, 1919 the son of Roy Bronson and Mabel Frances Potter Root.  He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1937.  He married Laree Rasmussen.  He served in the US Army during WWII.  He died March 21, 1995 in Fairfax, Virginia and was buried in the Arlington National Cemetery.
