Max Nield - Class of 1948

Max Lamar Nield, 64, died November 10, 1993 in the Bannock Regional Medical Center in Pocatello after a brief illness.  He was born November 1, 1929 in Montpelier the son of William Edward and Viola Marie Laughter.  He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1948. He was a member of the LDS Church. He met and married Marian Kay Bunderson July 21, 1948. He worked with his father and brother in a sand and gravel business for 12 years.  He then was in the maintenance department at Monsanto where he worked for 25 years retiring in 1991.  During his life he served 15 years as a volunteer fireman for the City of Montpelier and was a member of the Bear Lake Ambulance Service.  He served for four years in the US Army completing a tour of duty in the Korean conflict.  He is survived by his wife along with seven children.  Funeral services were held in the Montpelier 4th Ward Chapel.  Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
