JeNeil Wuthrich (Keefer) - Class of 1939

JeNeil W. Keefer died 15 April, 2008 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center. Born June 11, 1921, to Edward and Maude Wuthrich, Montpelier. ID. Wife of Theodore E. Keefer, Jr. who preceded her in 1991. 

Survived by her son, Erle; sister, Viona and brothers, Earl and Karl. Served in the US Army, World War II. Military decorations and theatres of operation, Europe, Africa and Middle East. Service Medals and four overseas bars. A young lady from rural Idaho, she served during some of the key moments in the war. JeNeil's special operations activities included the five person administrative preparation of the final orders to commanders for the Normandy Invasion and later operational field activities in the elimination of Axis senior staff. She met her husband, Ted at the same European hospital where they recovered from battlefield wounds. Member of the DAV, American Legion and Womens Army Corps. JeNeil served 22 years as a volunteer at the Salt Lake VA Hospital.
