Claude Williamson - Class of 1934

Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Claude Donald Williamson, passed away at home June 27, 1993.

Claude was born August 2, 1916 in St. Charles, Idaho, the oldest son of Claude Rolland and Mercy Truth Williamson. He married Margaret Loveday on April 11, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Claude was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many leadership positions. He served as district and branch president in the Southern States Mission. He and his wife served in the New York Rochester Mission at Hill Cumorah where he touched the lives of many people. He served with his wife as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River LDS Temple. He loved his sweet wife, children and grandchildren. He devoted his life to them. Claude was happiest participating in family activities.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Kem L. Williamson (Judy), Inkom, Idaho; James Mark Williamson (Trudy), Salt Lake City; daughters, Claudia Marie Weston (Paul), Salt Lake City; Shannon Olsen (Arthur), Castle Dale, Utah; Laurel Weston (Daniel), Salt Lake City; 19 grandchildren; brother, Phil Williamson, Hyrum, Utah.

Preceded in death by a son, Don Claude Williamson; parents; and a brother, Rex Williamson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 30, 1993 at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Olympus North 10th Ward, 3610 East 3510 South. Friends may call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake, Tuesday evening, 7-9 p.m. and at the ward chapel on Wednesday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Montpelier, Idaho City Cemetery with graveside services at approximately 4 p.m.
