Lamont Loveday - Class of 1933

Lamont W. Loveday passed away December 17, 1995 in Salt Lake City at the age of 80.

He was born July 3, 1915 in Montpelier, Idaho to Kem Loveday and Delilah Welker Loveday. Married Inez Lavin in Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 5, 1941. They made their home in Bakersfield for 40 years and later moved to Utah. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a train dispatcher. Served as a missionary in the Eastern States Mission and later with his wife in the Washington Seattle Mission. He served as a bishop and in various other callings. His hobbies included beekeeping, coin collecting and photography. He was a star runner, running the 220 and the mile. He was honored for his humor, wisdom and his kind heart. He will be missed by all his family and friends.Survived by his wife; two sons, Paul and Gary (LaDonne) Loveday; and three grandchildren, Liesel, Lance, and John; three sisters, Hazel Peterson, Margaret Williamson and Marie Aland.

Services will be held 12 noon Wednesday, December 20, 1995 in the Willow Creek 7th Ward Chapel, 2215 East Creek Road. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the Ward Chapel on Wednesday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
