McClain Winters - Class of 1927

Louis McClain Winters, 91, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, from complications of diabetes, at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Born Aug. 28, 1909, in Montpelier, Idaho, he lived in Sun City for 22 years. He was a career development specialist for the U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C., for 26 years and enjoyed genealogy and gardening. 
Mr. Winters is survived by his daughter, Barbara Winters of Studio City; son Louis Winters Jr. of Riverside; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 5, at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Sun City. A funeral service will follow at noon at the mortuary, with Bishop Tom Bloom officiating. Burial will take place at Montpelier City Cemetery in Idaho.

The family suggests memorial donations to the City of Hope National Medical Center, 1500 E. Duarte Road, Duarte, CA 91010.
