Murcy Nelson (Boyer) - Class of 1927

Murcy Elizabeth Nelson Boyer, 84, beloved sister, mother, and grandmother died Wed., Sept. 22, 1993 in Sandy, Utah.

She was born August 19, 1909 in St. Charles, Idaho to Ann Greenwood Keetch and Rasmus Peter Nelson. She married Joseph LaVern Boyer, December 6, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Dec. 9, 1985. Having received BS and MS degrees, she had worked as a Home Extension Agent and as an educator in the North Summit School District. She was also active in community service. A member of the LDS Church, Mrs. Boyer held many positions and served a mission with her husband in the Kansas-Arkansas-Missouri Mission. Her greatest love was genealogy and temple work.Surviving is a son, Thomas and daughters, Joyce, Mrs. Dee (Lois Ann) Lynn, Mrs. David (Beverly) Dawes, Mrs. Chris (Verna) Lueck; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchiildren. Also surviving is a sister, Rozena Oaks and a brother, G. Aaron Nelson. She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Robert; a daughter, Rose Mary; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25 at 1:30 p.m. in the Upton Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary in Coalville andSaturday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in the Upton Ward Building. Interment: Coalville Cemetery.
