Melvin James Stephens died April 22, 1994 in McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. He was born March 9, 1906 in Montpelier Idaho the son of Thomas N. and Clara Welker Stephens. He married Roma Rogers September 2, 1929 in Soda Springs Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. She died August 29, 1972. Later he married Ruth Nuffer on July 2, 1973 and she died November 30, 1979. He is survived by two daughters and spouses: Geraldine and Russell Gammon, Othello, Washington and Leslie and Dale Bingham; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Evan Stephens Montpelier and one sister Eleanore Odell, Salt Lake City, Utah; and a friend Jane Coburn. He was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one grandchild. Funeral services were Monday at noon in the Richmond Stake Center. Burial was in the Lewiston Utah Cemetery.
