Norma Quayle (Erickson) - Class of 1922

Norma Norene Erickson, 97, formally of Tremonton, UT, died February 20, 2000, at her daughter's home in Mountain Home, Idaho.

Norma was born in Dingle, Idaho, on February 28, 1903, the daughter of Elizabeth Ann and William Quayle. Her education took her to Salt Lake City where she became a registered nurse. While working in the hospital she met her husband, Arthur Erickson and was married in the Salt Lake Temple August 14, 1930.They resided for a period of time in Union, Utah, and then moved to Tremonton, where they rear-ed their family and made their livelihood in farming. Norma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she freely gave of her love and service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her daughter, Carol Johnson; and three sisters and two brothers. Norma is survived by her children, LaRue (Lysle) Munns of Mountain Home, ID; Mervin (Leahmae) Erickson of Pocatello, ID; Rolayne (Kenneth) Ethington of Bountiful, UT; William (Susan) Erickson of Pleasant Grove, UT; 18 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday, October 23, 2000, 12 noon at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, with Bishop Henry Z. Thompson officiating. Friends may call Monday ONLY from 10-11:45 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
