Stanley Jones - Class of 1929

Stanley J. "Sam" Jones, 64, of Mountain Home, Idaho died Monday, December 2, 1974 at his home.  He was born August 3, 1910 in Montpelier, graduating from Montpelier High School and attended Utah State University.  He married Maxine V. Day on July 31, 1937 in Randolph, Utah.  They lived in Glenns Ferry for 17 years before moving to Boise.  He operated the drive-in at Mountain Home Air Force Base for 12 years and car washes in Sparks, Nevada, Boise and Mountain Home.  He was a member of Fidelity Lodge No. 80, Scottish Rite Bodies, Koran Shrine Temple of Boise, Lions Club, the Men's Golf Association, the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce and was a former member of the Glenns Ferry School Board.  Survivors include his wife, a daughter and three grandchildren.  Funeral services were held in the Masonic Temple in Mountain Home.  Cremation was in Boise.
