Eric Allen Lewis, 32, died Thursday, July 24, 1997 at Bannock Regional Medical Center in Pocatello,  He was born March 19, 1965 in Montpelier to Brent and Wenda Jean Price Lewis.  He had one brother Kirt and one sister Tracie.  He married Becky Toland July 26, 1985.  Together they had three children.  They later divorced.  He then married Jill Negus Hueckstaedt in August, 1994 and was married to her at the time of his death.  Eric had a love for motors and  any machine.  As a child growing up he liked to take things apart and find out how they worked.  He loved to go snomobiling near Bear Lake.  He graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1984.  He continued his education at Vo-Tech at Idaho State University in auto mechanics.  He worked for Murdock Chevrolet in Salt Lake City before returning to Bear Lake.  He then worked for Tapper Motors as a mechanic and was later promoted to service manager.  At the time of his death he was employed by Outwest Distributing in Soda Springs as a mechanic.  He was an Elder and home teacher in the LDS Church,  He was a Bear Lake Search and Rescue member where he had served as commander.  He was trained in scuba diving and repelling.  He is survived by his wife and three children.  Funeral services were held in the Montpelier Second/Sixth Ward Chapel.  Burial was in the Paris Cemetery.
