In Memory

Philip Edward Brunner - Class of 2004

Philip Edward Brunner, 17, died Thursday morning, June 10, 2004, in a car accident near Montpelier. He was born to David L. Brunner Jr. and Andrea V. Gainsford Brunner on August 2, 1986, in Silver Springs, Maryland.

Philip was a 2004 graduate of the Bear Lake High School. He was employed by Bear Lake Sales with plans to go to Frontier School of the Bible in Wyoming in the fall.

Philip loved the outdoors and enjoyed the blessing of many friends. He had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed making others laugh. He looked forward to going to Pioneer Bible Camp each summer as a camper and a leader.

Philip had a sincere love for the Lord Jesus, and placed his faith in Jesus while still a young boy living in Pennsylvania. Because he completely put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone for his salvation, Philip is now enjoying the presence of the Lord forever.

Philip is survived by his parents, three brothers, David III, Andrew and Samuel, all of Montpelier; grandparents, David and Ida May Brunner of Pennsylvania, Edward and Barbara Gainsford of Florida, Evelyn Gainsford (deceased); and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

For those that would like to give a gift to Pioneer Bible Camp in memory of Philip, an account has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank in Montpelier, or gifts may be sent directly to Pioneer Bible Camp at P.O. Box 644, Eden, Utah 84310.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 15, at 2 p.m. in the Bear Lake High School gymnasium. Friends may call at Matthews Mortuary on Monday evening, June 14 from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Tuesday at the high school from noon until 1:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
