Gail Marie Hayes, 45, daughter of Gail and the late Parley Hayes, mother of Kristen Hayes, passed away on Aug. 9, 2011 in Bear Lake Memorial Hospital. Marie attended school in many places as her family moved around in the Air Force.  After graduating from Bear Lake High School in 1985, she went to Oregon for the summer.

Marie worked at the helmet factory and met Jose Monterroza and they were married in 1987 and later divorced in 1996.  They had two children, Kristen Gail and Jesse Orlando.

Marie loved the outdoors, camping, bow hunting, and fishing.  She also loved to cook, ride horses, and had a black belt in Karate, winning many championships, and went on to teach Karate classes.  Most of all she loved spending time with her daughter and family, and will be missed dearly.

Marie is survived by her mother, Gail Hayes, daughter, Kristen, brother, Allen, two nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved dearly.  She was preceded in death by her father, Parley Hayes, and one son, Jesse.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Georgetown LDS Chapel.  Friends may call prior to services from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.  Interment will be in the Georgetown Cemetery.
