In Memory

Stephen Wells - Class of 1984

Stephen Douglas Wells (Pete) left his loving family Monday April 1, 2013. Stephen was born February 16, 1966 to Junior and Cleone Wells in Soda Springs, Idaho.

Stephen loved being outdoors camping and hunting with his family, but loved spending time with his family the most. He graduated from Bear Lake High School and went to work at various jobs around the valley but enjoyed working at the Helmet Factory and Walton Feed most.

Stephen married his best friend, Mary Lynn Smith, on April 15, 1989. They made their home in Bloomington for years then later moved to Paris and most recently to Montpelier. Stephen struggled for the last few years with various health issues but he never let it get him down. He always looked at life with a smile on his face. He was our family prankster. He was always looking for a way to play a joke on family or friends. Stephen and Mary were never blessed with their own children, but Stephen loved all his nieces and nephews as if they were all his own.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; mother, Cleone Wells; sister, Diana (Ronnie) Payne; brother, Randall (Cindy) Wells; sister, Patricia (Mark) Larsen; and sister, Karen Muir; brother-in-law Tom (Helen) Smith; brother-in-law, Jody Smith; and several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Wells, his grandparents, and parents-in-law, Bill and Donna Smith.

Funeral Services were held Friday, April 5, in the Paris Idaho Stake Center. Interment was in the Bloomington Cemetery
