Janell Nelson Thomas, 46, passed away peacefully in her sleep June 3, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 21, 1958, in Montpelier to Nyle and Janet Nelson and lived all of her life in the Bear Lake Valley. She was married to John Keetch and had one daughter, Danielle Brown of Spokane, Wash. 

She later married Steven Thomas and to this union three more daughters were born, Aspen of Salt Lake City, Stephanie and Ciara, both of Montpelier. She is also survived by three grandchildren, whom she adored, her parents, Nyle and Janet Nelson of Paris; one sister, Nila (Robert) Kelsey of Paris, and two brothers, Chad (Arvilla) of Chubbuck and Brett of Logan, Utah; also numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services will Tuesday, June 7, at 1 p.m. in the Paris Idaho Stake Cemetery. Friends may visit with family at Matthews Mortuary on Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church in Paris from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. The interment will take place in the Paris Cemetery.
