Sandra Boehme - Class of 1975

Sandra "Sam" Boehme, 52, died on November 6, 2009, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, following an extensive illness.

She was born to Russell G. and Elma T. Boehme of Geneva, Idaho, in Montpelier, Idaho, on November 30, 1956. Most of her life she lived in the family home in Geneva. She graduated from Bear Lake High School and received an associate's degree from Salt Lake Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. Upon receipt of a degree from the Business College she lived in Logan, Utah, where she was employed by Saddleman Seat Cover Company. Following her employment in Logan she worked as a CNA at the Bear Lake Memorial Skilled Nursing Facility in Montpelier, Idaho, for 17 years during which time she resided in Montpelier. Prior to her extended illness she was a reception clerk at the Super 8 Motel in Montpelier.

Sandra was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a love of music, obtained from her mother, and played both piano and organ. She was accompanist for numerous organizations in the Geneva Ward and the other locations where she lived. She also sang in the choir of the Geneva Ward.

Sandra is preceded in death by her mother, Elma T. Boehme. Surviving are her father Russell G. Boehme, of Geneva; and seven brothers and sisters, Brent R. (Sandra) Boehme, Evanston, Wyoming, Jerry W. (Karen) Boehme, Hyde Park Utah, Sheryl Boehme, Sandy, Utah, Garth T. (Denise) Boehme, Geneva, Idaho, Grant W. (Trudy) Boehme, Rexburg, Idaho, Randy G. (Laurie) Boehme, Nibley, Utah, and Janel Boehme, Preston, Idaho. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, on whom she doted.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Matthews Mortuary in Montpelier, Idaho. A visitation will be held at Matthews Mortuary on Wednesday evening, November 11, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will also be a visitation held prior to the funeral in the Geneva Ward Building on Thursday, November 12, 2009, from 9 to 10:45 a.m. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. in the Geneva Ward Building followed by interment at the Geneva Cemetery.
