In Memory

John Keetch - Class of 1972

John D. Keetch, 57, passed away at his home on June, 24, 2011. He was born Aug. 28, 1953 in Montpelier. He was the youngest child of Jonathan Pugmire Keetch and Elaine Quayle.

In his youth, John enjoyed working his family’s ranch and from childhood forward he was not a stranger to hard work. He graduated from Bear Lake high school in 1972 and went on to Idaho State University’s technical college studying automobile repair.

For many years John, was employed by Monsanto, as a plant operator. During his life he was a rancher, auto body technician, but his trade would be best described as hard work.

John was proceeded in death by his parents and his siblings. He left behind two daughters, Danielle Keetch (Todd) and Misty Benjamin (Wesley), and four grandchildren, Jaedyn, Acacia, Mitchell and Maxwell. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

John loved moving at high speeds, whether from the back of Harley, on horseback, or an ATV. He also loved a good laugh, a challenge and dreaming big. He was not afraid to try, even if it meant that he may fail.

He will be remembered by those who knew and loved him for his laughter, passionate spirit and kind heart. He will be missed.

A visitation will be held at Matthews Mortuary on Thursday, June 30, from noon to 2 p.m. with a burial following at the Wardboro Cemetery.
