Randall Einzinger - Class of 1971

Randall D. Einzinger, 53, passed away due to complications of cancer. June 1, 2006, at Salt Lake LDS hospital. He was born Dec. 27, 1952 in Montpelier, Idaho, to Robert Joseph Einzinger and Lois Danks. He was married to Karen Grimmett June 5, 1974, in Paris, Idaho.

He became an Elder in the LDS church and sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple Dec. 13, 1978. He graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1971. He attended ISU Vocational School in Auto-mechanics in 1973.

He and his family moved to Logan were he pursued his life long dream of becoming a firefighter. He was hired on at the Logan City Fire Department in 1984 and went on to become a Paramedic graduating from Weber State Paramedic School in 1988. Other positions held during his 23 years at the Fire Department were Driver/engineer, Lieutenant and Captain.

He is survived by his wife Karen of 32 years. They have three children: two sons, Chris Einzinger of Park City, Utah; Nic Einzinger of Park City, Utah; one daughter Megan (Paul) Rawlins of Smithfield; and one grandson Cortland Roy Rawlins.

Also his father, Robert Joseph (Marylyn) Einzinger, Logan; mother Lois Danks of Smithfield; sister Rebecca Briggs of Smithfield; brother Dwight R. (Irene) Einzinger of Providence; three Nieces and two Nephews.

He loved his family and his job at the Fire Department. He was an avid collector of fire department memorabilia and NASCAR. He was always busy with his Honey-do-list. He was Co-owner with his wife of The Arkana Salon in Logan City.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday June 5, at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center Street in Logan. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 6, at 7 p.m. at the Logan City Fire Department, Station 71, 1244 E.1100 North, Logan. Internment at the Smithfield City Cemetery, 400 E. Center Street.
