Harold Burgoyne - Class of 1970

Hal Burgoyne passed away suddenly August 27, 2008, while on a business trip in North Dakota.He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 8, 1952, the eldest of four children to Harold C. Burgoyne and LaDell Brown Burgoyne. He also had an older half sister and brother. Hal lived in Bountiful until he was 9 years old and then moved to Montpelier, Idaho where he graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1970. He was a graduate of ISU Automotive Tech School in 1971. He married his high school sweetheart, Jill Rich, in the Logan LDS Temple October 19, 1971, and had one son, Chad. Hal was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and lived in Bountiful for the past 33 years. As a gifted mechanic, he worked in the automotive field for many years. He then managed various automotive departments with many different companies. Most recently he worked sales for TDS Tires and as a service rep for Ryder. Hal loved to spend his spare time camping and fishing for "sharks" with his family at Soldier Creek Reservoir. Hal adored his four grandsons: Eric, Zac, Logan, and Riley. Hal is survived by his wife Jill of Bountiful; son Chad (Jennifer) of Magna, Utah; four grandsons; Eric, Zac, Logan, and Riley; one sister, Bonnie (Wyatt) Wilcox of Santaquin, Utah; two brothers, Dean (Trudy) Burgoyne of Alaska, and Bruce (Debbie) of Montpelier, Idaho, and was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and LaDell Burgoyne, and one brother Paul. Viewing will be held Monday, September 1, 2008, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main St. in Bountiful, Utah. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008, in the LDS Chapel on 1250 S. Main Street, Bountiful, where friends and family may call from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be held in the Paris City Cemetery
